An individual hyperbaric session or a plan: organizing your visits
A session plan can help you organize your schedule and understand the service terms. The choice begins with an assessment: first determine whether care is appropriate, then review how to schedule it.
A package is a way to organize visits. It does not, by itself, determine the indication, treatment dose or expected outcome.
Why is there no single number for everyone?
Mayo Clinic explains that the number of treatments depends on the condition being treated and that hyperbaric oxygen therapy is often part of a broader plan. [1] A number of sessions should therefore not be turned into a universal promise.
The protocol should also match the goal. Our equipment has a reported range of 1.5–1.7 ATA; offering five or ten visits within that range does not allow us to attribute results from other clinical protocols to them.
Options at Hiperbárica Costa Rica
| Option | What it helps organize | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Individual session | One visit, when recommended after the assessment. | What is included and what the next steps are. |
| 5-session plan | Several visits within an agreed schedule. | Frequency, validity period and rescheduling terms. |
| 10-session plan | A schedule with greater continuity if the plan requires it. | Review points and package terms. |
Always ask about current pricing and details before purchasing. This guide does not assume discounts, included benefits or refund terms that have not been confirmed.
Practical benefits of planning
A clear schedule. You can check whether available hours fit your responsibilities and how much travel time you need.
Clear pricing. Asking in writing what each option includes helps you compare the total and terms, without assuming every package offers the same things.
A follow-up conversation. Agreeing on when to review the plan lets you ask questions about your experience and whether continuing is appropriate. Buying sessions does not mean ignoring changes in your health.
Questions before choosing
- Is the assessment included or arranged separately?
- What duration and frequency are proposed for my case?
- What is the total price and the plan’s validity period?
- What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel a visit?
- How is it decided whether to continue or use another service?
